Zscaler notes that AI-pushed ransomware attacks are part of nation-state attackers’ arsenals today, and the incidence of their exhaust is growing. Attackers now exhaust generative AI prompts to create tables of known vulnerabilities for all firewalls and VPNs in an organization they are targeting. Next, attackers exhaust the LLM to generate or optimize code exploits for those vulnerabilities with personalized payloads for the target surroundings.
